It’s the simple things in life that matter
Pension Torr – genuine hospitality
If you’re looking for luxury, Michelin stars, gigantic pools, and Tibetan massages, we’re sorry to disappoint you, but that’s just not us. Time here has stood still – and that’s how we like it. We don’t want to lose sight of who we are by pursuing luxury at all costs. What you see is what you get – we’ll welcome guests without too much of a fuss and show them how to live one day at a time. The Dolomites of old await, too. Welcome!
Your traditional family-run guesthouse
A family tradition in the Dolomites
Today, Moritz and Verena run the guesthouse, following in the footsteps of Giuseppe, who looks on down from heaven, and mother Lena, who still works in the kitchen. The rooms and routines are the same as in the past, all revolving around the concept of genuine, no frills mountain hospitality. The family speaks Ladin, the local language, as well as English. Simplicity takes centre stage, and authenticity shines through everything that is done or offered when staying at the guesthouse.
Away from the chaos in Val Badia
San Martino and the Dolomites
Pension Torr is just a stone’s throw from the village of San Martino in Badia, set in a beautiful meadow surrounded by forests. It also boasts a breathtaking view of the Sas dla Crusc, the mountain which saw young Reinhold Messner achieve his first mountaineering feats, and the symbol of the valley. It may be far away from the main throughfare of the village, yet it’s close to everything you need. A guesthouse removed from everything else where you can experience the Dolomites of once upon a time. Nature and silence reign supreme.
